At Kenya Fresh, sustainability is more than a buzzword, it’s a commitment. We believe that sustainable business is rooted in respect for humanity and the environment. Shaping every action we take for a positive, lasting impact. By maintaining total oversight of our cultivation processes across both our own expansive farms and our dedicated network of out-growers, we provide a reliable and ethical bridge from Kenya’s fertile soils to the global market.
“Sustainability is not a goal to be reached but a way of thinking, a way of being, a principle we must weave into every part of our business.”

SDG 12- Climate Resilience and Environmental Stewardship
“We don’t inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children”
The environment is the core of our business, its only right we nurture it. Not just for ourselves, but for the generations to come.
At farm level, we promote soil health by encouraging reduced reliance on synthetic fertilizers and advocating for organic alternatives and implementing integrated pest management practices. We recommend regular soil tests, not only to increase yields, but also enhance soils structure and protect microbial life.
With the current and very drastic changes in climate, we practice water stewardship by harvesting rain water and using precision drip irrigation systems that maximize water use.We have invested in efficient cold chain management facilites to reduce post harvest losses and partnered with organizations in value addition to provide them with our surplus produce reducing wastage.
SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth
“Its in your hands to create a better world for all who live in it.”
Agriculture is the backbone of Kenya’s economy, contributing approximately 21% of the GDP. Our operations contribute directly to economic growth of the country by creating market access for produce grown locally while generating foreign exchange for the country.
By partnering with a large network of farmers, we play a role in job creation and improvement of rural livelihoods. We help uplift farming communities by providing stable markets, fair pay and agronomic support to maximize production, a win-win.
We are commited to promoting decent work and ethical labour practices as supported by SMETA, a globally recognised social standard.
SDG 5- Gender Equality
“Freedom cannot be achieved unless women have been emancipated from all forms of oppression.”
Empowering women is more than a goal, it’s a step to a thriving society. If you educate a woman, you educate a generation.
A significant portion of our farmers and labour force is comprised of women, contributing to improved household livelihoods.By intentionally increasing female representation in supervisory roles, we promote open communication, reducing risks of harassment , providing safe and respectful work environments. This in tandem creates opportunities for women in management roles, currently at 50%.
